If you say you've received the wrong product, they'll obviously request the return of that product- being "their" stock Item. That's an Instant failure.

On the grounds the delivery point Is your residential address, the objective Is to not be present when the Item Is delivered, hence no signature on receipt. If you haven't nominated an alternative drop-off point, the carrier will then leave a calling card Indicating where the Item can be collected. Based on this and your locality, where Is your collection point? Local post office?

Usually in the US they leave a card saying they will try again another time. In my experience, they won't release without a signature at any point.

I can easily check this via a VPN connected to the US, but I'd rather ask yourself.
