Police report required for your Amazon SE? READ THIS! - Slacker - 11-30-2017 Ok let me start out by introducing my self to everyone. I am @Slacker I am from Indiana and like many of you guys I thought it was cool to steal from Amazon at one point in my life. I have been social engineering / human manipulation etc from a young age. I have always enjoyed altering ones perspective to line up with my views and alter their opinions since I was young, it was fun to win debates like this and make the other person feel silly while doing so... But back on track. I was requested to provide a police report a while back for a double dip I pulled off and was attempting to refund afterwards. I was greedy. The item was a impact / drill / saw / flash light / radio combo from DeWalt. I ordered the first package, it arrived and after flipping the bird to the delivery guy while he was leaving (left big dumb ass box on my porch, no signature) I was laughing like a little school girl while opening my beautiful new tools. I promptly called Amazon a few days later and demanded to know where my package was. They prompted to get a police report before replacing so I accepted the challenge I took the box of random shit next door and put it in a neighbor's house and explained I think the package was his, he agree to he it for a deal we will disclose later on. I went home and called the location PD. They arrived and we're just as out of place looking as I was since I have always been in and out of jail with these guys, the last thing they ever expected to come for was a police report filed by me. After offering coffee (they accepted it and we sipped as we communicated the issue) I simply explained that I ordered a tool kit from Amazon, it was never delivered and they requested a police report. They looked baffled as they took notes and proceeded to write one up on the spot, asked me for my witness statement and I provided one, super simple ("I arrived home to no boxes on my porch and requested replacement from Amazon") the trick is to not provide more information then they request. Remain calm and collected while only answering the questions they ask... Nothing more. They requested to look around my property and I allowed them, I had nothing to hide. Once inspection was completed they wrote me up a copy on the spot, laughed as they stated they'll keep an eye out and left promptly. I provided the police report via scanned copy and email. A week later guess who got another tool kit and 50% of the cost for the first one? So I began to wonder, I didn't sign for this and left it on the porch til the delivery guy was long gone and decided to try and refund this. At first Amazon was hesitant and requested a new police report luckily the cops whom did the first one simply added "victim is requesting an update due to not receiving package and requestion refund from supplier" with a date notation... They sent it to me, I sent it to Amazon and I got my refund. I never told them it was a whole new package missing I only told them enough info to get what I needed. Long story short boys and girls, it isn't a dead end if Amazon request a police report and any one who says it is never came across this situation and conquered it. It is all in how you handle the issue and manipulate the local PD / Amazon rep into doing what you want. Note: I understand I flame or trash alot of you guys for doing this shit, I don't sent I've done it my self and I'm not mad you do it. But to sit here and request some one to hold your hand every step of the way and then claim to be social engineering is bullshit, that's what bothers me about this situation. I am always willing to help people, but request simply you post productive materials here to help some one else before asking me for input or advice. I get mad about people joining and first post being "help me.do this" and I appologize to those I've insulted and belittled before, now I simply ignore it since @Skullmeat @Oni @phyrrus9 and others pointed out I was becoming too ignorant with my replies. I appologize and hope this has motivated some of you not to give up on your social engineering attempts! RE: Police report required for your Amazon SE? RE: Police report required for your Amazon SE? READ THIS! - Slacker - 11-30-2017 Appreciate the kind words @phyrrus9 To be dead ass honest if I was able to post content in [hide][/hide] tags I may be more inclined to post more content similar to this but far more educational and professionally laid out. I understand @Oni wishes to keep content open to guest to draw them in, but I despise leeches and feel users would be more inclined to create an account if they had to post to read or be signed in to read content RE: Police report required for your Amazon SE? Please boy? RE: Police report required for your Amazon SE? READ THIS! - simplylemonade - 12-01-2017 So Ive been looking to SE a $2k laptop from them. Ive never had a refund done and the account is 9 years old with at least 10k in purchases. Is 2k too much? I dont care doing a police report either. RE: Police report required for your Amazon SE? With true engineering, no task is too big, but with size comes great complexity. Make sure you plan this out, actually take the time (probably months if not years) to figure out every variable and make sure you account for everything that can go wrong. Only problem is the package would require a signature. I'm buying it from their warehouse deals, so its been 'used-like new'. Easiest excuse would be 'i got the wrong product'? Then you've got your first obstacle, time to break out the engineering cookbook and find a way around that. RE: Police report required for your Amazon SE? If you say you've received the wrong product, they'll obviously request the return of that product- being "their" stock Item. That's an Instant failure. On the grounds the delivery point Is your residential address, the objective Is to not be present when the Item Is delivered, hence no signature on receipt. If you haven't nominated an alternative drop-off point, the carrier will then leave a calling card Indicating where the Item can be collected. Based on this and your locality, where Is your collection point? Local post office? RE: Police report required for your Amazon SE? In my experience, they won't release without a signature at any point. |
