Social engineering (In general terms), Is all about manipulating the person on the other end to disclose Information that they're not supposed to, mostly confidential Information. Not obtaining Items by way of deceit In a fraudulent manner.

I agree with that, except I wouldn't put strictly as disclosure of information.
