Did the CPU level drop when the tool completed It's tasks?

If so and given It's nature (optimizing/tweaking), It's quite normal to experience higher usage to some degree.

The last item on that list is 'fix memory leak'. I wouldn't trust anything that modifies the kernel of your host operating system. Not unless I had the source code of the program and knew enough about the zone it effected. This is likely NOT legit, or at the very least it's just a lie about what it can do.

Good point.

Given the kernel Is first loaded Into memory when the OS boots and knowing that memory Is volatile, any changes that took effect will be dismissed during shutdown. But If It actually modifies the behavior of the kernel per say, then that's a cause for concern.
