When doing SE's, you can never mitigate the risk of getting the police involved. If the SE fails or the seller/carrier find out that anything of the related actions are suspicious/manipulated in any way, they could involve the police of course. Some companies/methods have a higher chance of failure/police involvement than others, but you can never be sure.

In my first days of SE'ing, the police got involved for a 60€ DNA....

To reduce the risk and be on the safe side, you could use fake information or like @DontRunDontTrip suggested, use a prepaid CC.
