Stay away from dell they will report you to the police not worth it

When they ask for the defective unit after the Advanced replacement, couldn't you FTID back to them so there's nothing for them to blame on you?

So when DELL asks for proof of a dead pixel, do they ask for video or a photo of the dead pixel?

In my case not, they wanted a photo from the monitor and the Service Tag along with a proof - name date case number

Could you please elaborate on SE? What did you tell them about Monitor? What exactly did you point out as faulty? Did they ask for photos of the defect?

I found on Facebook market this monitor, which cost 800 on grey market and 1000 on dell
I claimed dead pixel, edited a lot with Photoshop. Looked legit
Told them its the Panel and its not going away no matter what

After that they asked:
Picture of the Serial Tag
Then my name, case number and date next to the monitor

Then they said they want my credit card to hold a payment
They will send a replacement, if the monitor (I dont have) arrives to them, they will cancel it

Yesterday they shipped the monitor

No I did not. As UPS left my parcel infront the door

do FTID on return label. if they will got questions just say "oh idk what happened with package, but I returned it with your prepaid label". it will prevent rebill.

When doing SE's, you can never mitigate the risk of getting the police involved. If the SE fails or the seller/carrier find out that anything of the related actions are suspicious/manipulated in any way, they could involve the police of course. Some companies/methods have a higher chance of failure/police involvement than others, but you can never be sure.

In my first days of SE'ing, the police got involved for a 60€ DNA....

To reduce the risk and be on the safe side, you could use fake information or like @DontRunDontTrip suggested, use a prepaid CC.

As I described, in the first page. Just buy a prepaid card and tell them there is a limit anyway, in my case they did not charged anything

May I ask how did you go around this requirement as you did not have this monitor in possession? Sometimes I made the paper and put it on top of the screen with ebay listing, but this hasn't worked well
