I tried this SE myself just now, but the rep said that he had to contact a specialist and will keep in touch by email. So yeah probably a failed attempt. They will probably investigate the weight and deny the replacement.

Question: I had to open the package to make a photo of the manufacturer empty box. Can I still return the item to get my money back? I can do that for Amazon, not sure with Google.
