I think Amazon just tracks which items are worth it for them to give  a refund in transit and which not, of course it depends on the value of the item and etc things. My friend got some time ago a PR for trying to refund a 30 euro LEGO set, how crazy is that.

I wonder if we can work out the algorithm for what gets AR and what not...

You get a refund from Amazon, carrier companies don't give you any refunds xD

That would be a good news actually. But why would Amz do that when they would've "lost" the items through LIT too? Insurance I guess?

Generosity, they are doing that because they are a great company and think that if they refund you, you will shop more on their site. This is how they work. They want to make the customer feel important and happy.

I will use a boxer for a LIT next. Let's hope they feel generous
