I was wondering, can my bank monitor and intervene / report me to the police if they see an unusual number of refunds? Is it even legal for them to monitor this type of activity?
Thank you in advance for your help
Banks will almost never intervene or report you to the cops over refunds since your bank doesn't know the reason for the refunds. The only way your bank would get involved is if the company you're refunding contacts the cops and if an police investigation happens they can then send a request to your bank for info to aid in their investigation.

So pretty much your bank doesnt care about your refunds since on their end they are legit transactions. That said obviously use common sense and dont refund thousands of dollars a month back to back just to avoid any red flags that may arise.
