I'll hit the DNA. Delivery person put it in a bad spot were anyone could see it and walk up and take it. I can argue it was stolen.

If the package was purely dumped, the DNA Is good to go.

It wasn't dumped, the delivery person took a photo of it, but he left the package by the edge of the porch, a good 4 feet from my door.  It's not unrealistic that someone passing by could have seen it and taken it.
Is DNA still good for that or does the picture ruin that?

Try DNA first. I just did a Dyson v15 detect for $700 DNA after I said the battery leaked and that didn't work so I used DNA and the customer service rep never even looked at the chat logs and saw I tried leaking battery method. Got a free Dyson battery from Dyson too I'm going to make a separate a thread detailing the whole process.
