They’ve asked for a PR but rejected the incident number as not sufficient (even though the police won’t issue a report as they believe no crime has been issued)

Yes, many times.  They kept referring to they fact that it was Apple’s policy to require a full policy report (hard copy, stamped). But declined to provide a copy of the report. I’ve written to them, using the Resolver site, 8 times now.  They are definitely ignoring me 🤯

Get the case number + office details at least if you can. Provide that and if they don't bulge, provide all these details to your bank and chargeback. They should take care of it. And don't mess with apple again with the same name and address.
