I totally agree with all the above.

In order to provide assistance, the OP must clearly clarify every event and timing.

Okay, ill explain everything top to bottom.

March, i ordered an apple watch series 7 from currys, i received it and i told them there were missing contents, they then said that i should return the rest of the package in order to receive a refund. In this case i decided to return the rest of the parcel. They had then gone ahead and refunded me and it was a successful SE as the item had been secured and the rest of the parcel which had unnecessary contents was sent back.

Then i just realised that they have been trying to contact me for the past few months in regards to claiming i owe them money because the parcel i returned didnt include the watch, but why would it include the watch if i was getting a refund on the basis that the watch wasnt in the parcel when returned but everything else which i originally received was?

Does that make sense? I hope it does. So simply put they told me to send back the parcel with no watch in it to receive my refund, and now they are saying the parcel had to have the watch in it which is impossible because technically i never received the watch inside of the parcel in the first place. And either way why would they contact me 3 months after the SE to tell me this? Shouldnt this have been raised alot earlier if it was a problem? Quite possibly when the return had actually arrived to them?

So now they are claiming legal actions if i dont provide the full amount back but why should i be paying for “ an incomplete parcel”.

Technically the SE method was missing parts of parcel not full EB method.
