Disputes will end up taking long so I’m not inclined to go that way.If you're returning It by claiming It's damaged, It cannot be placed back Into stock, hence It's very likely they'll check the Item for defects.

I’ve done some research and seen plenty of these Walmart disputes going the wrong way especially in the case of my credit card. PayPal also will likely side with merchant unless they take the time to notice the refund and signature on file.
I’ve seen legitimate returns be charged back months later for sending back the wrong item when it was legitimately delivered wrong.
To me this seems like Walmart is too disorganized and not following a standard protocol. They also are less likely to help actual customers if this is the case. Somehow I’ve gotten my account to a point where they refuse to go any further, so I fear a return is all that’s left for me to do.
Thinking of following up by reordering and seeing if the bot can refund a new order. Or, just go through Amazon but I’ll keep this thread updated if Walmart is a go.
