Walmart DNA Advice? - AmazonianDNARace - 07-23-2022

Hey y’all, hope you’re doing alright! Longtime lurker, first time poster, and very appreciative of everyone sharing knowledge here.

Recently I DNAd an iPad from Amazon. I think with the low amount of money I spend there these days, I can’t really do another DNA without being stalled by a PR or being given the run around (or so i believe). So, now I’m looking into trying Walmart but it seems inconsistent with some needing PR for something $50, and others going to a thousand or more.

I’m looking to SE 2 new monitors going for about $600 each. They are sold and shipped by Walmart and I typically don’t have to sign for packages so I’m thinking of doing DNA. I think they weigh too much for EB and returning my old monitors sounds risky especially with 2 monitors. Anybody with experience with Walmart have any advice for to pull of this SE?

Thanks!

Are they both arriving at the exact same timeslot?

Evidently.

Disregard It.

It's extremely likely the return will be thoroughly checked.

They should be arriving in the same time slot I believe with either UPS or FedEx. I’m starting to wonder if Best Buy might be a better option since they have more, cheaper options but I’ve heard they’re harder to DNA at that price point.

In that case, both monitors can be DNA'd.

May I ask why you're considering Best Buy, when you have the perfect DNA setup:

Only considering Bestbuy because they have different options all sold by bestbuy. I was thinking I might have more success going for a cheaper model that won’t cross 1000 total but if I understand this right, you’re saying that Walmart is looking like the perfect option so far?

If the package Is purely handed to you or left at your doorstep, there's no evidence of personally receiving It.

Under the circumstances, the DNA Is Ideal.

Ended up going with Walmart and checked out. So far it says that it will be left at the door but it’s quite a large order ($1000+) so I’m a little concerned they’ll give me the runaround. My thought process is that if this SE fails, I can just return this in store and bail.

Update: confirmation mail mentions that a signature with ID is required. Not sure if I should expect this and fake the signature, or just go ahead and claim DNA anyways.

Will the driver take a copy of your ID, or purely verify It visually?

It seems like people that have ordered stuff like PS5s and etc recently have had the same listed on their order (21+ ID Check needed at delivery), but had them just left at the door. Other posts mention that ups/fedex don’t have time to check for ID so a signature is enough.

I’m hoping that it just gets left at the door like how my Xbox was delivered 2 years ago, no signature so there’s no complications. But at twice the value, I’m not sure if it’ll be that easy. Last thing I need is to have someone like the delivery man asking questions.

^ That's why I questioned the ID.

If It's checked, I'm trying to establish whether the driver "takes a copy of the ID", or purely looks at It. If It's the latter, It's useless - the driver's word cannot be used to verify the ID.

If It's dumped at your doorstep, the DNA Is good to go, regardless of the Item value.
