how it’s not my responsibility to call FedEx when I ordered from Walmart
They maintain that if there is no signature then Walmart would deal with it but since there is, FedEx has to be contacted.

After asking to get escalated they offered to have their team reach out to the carrier and respond within 24hrs.

It's totally contradictory.

First they said It's not their problem and expected you to deal with the carrier, and now they don't see an Issue with It and are doing It themselves.

Any ideas on what to expect going forward?

The next course of action will be based on their reply.
