I was thinking of trying a Macbook SE directly from Apple as I have reached my limit with Amazon for SE'ing recently.

I want to try the Disposed of Faulty Item method and stage a battery leak, saying I threw the macbook away for health and safety reasons. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on the success rate of this, compared to Amazon?
