That's not an Issue- a signature doesn't conclude that you, or any household member, personally received It.
The problem Is that In "selected locations", UPS verifies the delivery based on their records confirming the correct address. In other words, a signature Is not required and given the package Is shown as delivered to Its destination, then that's all they need to verify the consignment.
This releases them from liability when claiming the DNA, but as said, It does not apply to all regions.
So update time, the UpS driver left the big box on the 6th floor in front of my apartment. I did buzz him in when he rang but didn’t answer the door when he knocked and then he left it. On the UPS tracking it says delivered left at residence, received by (last name). It doesn’t say signed. Is this dna material? What can I expect for the dna process of a price this high?

Well, given It doesn't say that It was signed, the "received by (last name)" Is Inaccurate.
If you didn't sign, you couldn't have received It against your name.

I'd say an Investigation Is almost certain, as well as a lengthy claims process.

Update:
So I called the day after delivery and talked to a nice rep who told me to wait the next day which I did and he called back to confirm I didn’t get it. He then said he will launch an investigation about the package I said sure because I never signed. I then got an email from amazon saying to check with neighbors blah blah blah and then said “Please allow 3 days while we investigate this matter. If you haven’t received your item by November 2, 2020 please let us know.” Which their time is off because in 3 days from the time of the email will be 10/31. So I will call back then insisting that I wait just 3 days like the email said. I’ll keep the post updated as I go forward

This confirms my previous thoughts on the matter:
Quote:I'd say an Investigation Is almost certain, as well as a lengthy claims process.
Do note that an Investigation Is part of their protocol to move forward with the claim, and nothing more. The upside thus far, Is that they still believe the probability of the package being missing as per your following reply:
Quote:I then got an email from amazon saying to check with neighbors
At this point, It's working In your favor. Please reply when you receive their response.

Hey update time, I got an email saying they are processing the refund for me. I talked to two agents on amazon and really flirted with the with the lady at 1 in the morning and when I woke it was processed. Still waiting for it to hit my bank and show up on my orders. But so far it went through! I’d like to think with the driver not requiring a signature and my constant phone calls of my dissatisfaction lead to the success of this

Your perseverance and manipulation with the female rep, both significantly contributed to the successful outcome.
A job well done Indeed, congrats.

Still haven’t got the refund yet, but now they’re telling me to get a police report and they’re getting in contact with ups. Don’t think It’ll be in my favor, going through with all the steps and will update

A police report Is part of their Investigation protocol to move forward with the claim, so It's perfectly fine to file one.
Your claim Is progressing, so that In Itself, Is positive thus far.

They're getting raped with claims, so I think It's just a matter of time before they Implement harsher measures.
