1500$ Amazon refund? #1
I’m considering getting a pc from amazon .com that’s worth 1500$, weighs 26 pounds and claiming dna. The driver that delivers to my building is always leaving the packages in the mail section on the first floor so I’m thinking I can get away with dna, but has anyone had luck with a price tag that hefty? I feel that may be hard because of the price tag. My account has only one refund for 2020 and over 20 legit orders since then. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Are the packages simply dropped off without a signature each and every time?

Given the method used and the cost of the Item, do expect an Investigation opened and a lengthy claims process.

Yeah it’s always dropped off without a signature that’s the plus side but yeah I figured it would me a lengthy process

That's perfect DNA material.

If you opt to pursue that path/method, be sure to remain adamant and persevere with the SE from start to finish.

Hey mothered, I just thought of an idea. Since I’m getting a pc I was thinking of buying a gaming pc case to use wrong item received method instead of dna. Did some research and found a case on amazon that is sold and fulfilled by them and Bestbuy has the same exact one. My plan is to buy it from Bestbuy and claim that I received a gaming pc case instead of a whole pc. Again the pc is 1500$ and the case would be around 100$. For the high price of the pc which method would you recommend?

Does the case weigh (or come very close) to that of the PC?

Also, are there any barcodes or other details on the case Itself, that would otherwise Identify It as a stock Item of Best Buy?

The only this that can mess this up is that UPS tracking shows the pc as 30.1 Pounds and the case from Bestbuy is 15. You think that will be a problem? I mean they won’t necessarily know the weight of the case until it’s sent back to them. I cm not sure about the barcode because I hunt bought it just yet

It's way too much of a variance In weight.

If they cross-check the carrier's consignment or refer to their very own dispatched weight, then the SE will fail.

Oh ok, I wonder what I can swap with of the same weight, i feel in over my head with this one. Hopefully ups doesn’t require a signature idk what I’d do if they do

That's not an Issue- a signature doesn't conclude that you, or any household member, personally received It.

The problem Is that In "selected locations", UPS verifies the delivery based on their records confirming the correct address. In other words, a signature Is not required and given the package Is shown as delivered to Its destination, then that's all they need to verify the consignment.

This releases them from liability when claiming the DNA, but as said, It does not apply to all regions.
