I made a PayPal claim for an order of two Apple devices, totalling £2k. My reason for the refund - the glass screens were broken on both devices, slicing my finger open during unboxing. I have supplied photos of the broken screens but PayPal has denied the claim due to no signs of external damage to the packaging.

PayPal reopened the claim after I protested but have now closed it again in the sellers favour.

Any ideas are welcome for help in getting the refund. Thanks.

No response from retailer in the PayPal dispute but when I called PayPal they indicated that the external packaging showed no signs of damage therefore the retailer cannot be at fault. Store is a big UK electronics retailer.

Did you try calling Currys first? Always use Paypal as a 2nd resort.

Currys has been getting slammed with pp claims. Perhaps this is the beginning of them finally starting to look into it. Unfortunately the best thing I can tell you is to keep calling PP and try to get someone on their end to budge.

Hit a chargeback through your credit card provider, or a bank reversal via your merchant.
