Warranty replacement DNA 06-09-2020, 09:01 AM
#1
I have recently SE'd a high value warranty replacement jacket from arcteryx. They have recently dispatched my replacement to me via UPS. They did not require me to send back "my old one".
However I now want to DNA this warranty replacement when it arrives in a few days. Does anyone have any experience with DNA'ing a warranty replacement item...or advice? Or am I pushing my luck?
Thanks in advance

So In other words, you want to "double-dip".
The method Is not as difficult as It may seem, but does require a methodical and systematic approach.

Will the carrier request a signature on delivery?

Yes
However due to the ongoing Corona virus situation, I'm hoping this should not be too hard bypass. Which gives me hope for.being able to pull off a DNA.
Just I'm.not sure how arcteryx will react when I contact them again in regards to it.

Although a package that's not signed for makes the DNA a lot easier, even If there's a signature, It doesn't conclude that
you personally received It.

They may well approve the claim, so try not to overthink the SE.
Take It step-by-step.

I think mothered just about hit the nail. This is considered a double dip. There are people that even triple dip!
My very first SE was a double-dip with two high-end monitors.
It's certainly possible. If you can avoid signing, that would be best, but if you have to sign, sign with a fake name. I personally try to change the method and not re-use the first method, however it is still possible with the same method.

Unfortunately, I have to retire from SE.

Quick update
UPS dropped the package at my door, no signature, no nothing, just walked away. So no problem. Exchanged a few very simple emails with arcteryx, and they just sent me one saying they're dispatching another same jacket for free to me. So double dip success. I guess it helps that they also have a rep for having fairly outstanding customer service.
P.S if the first initial jacket which I claimed warranty on, happened to have been 'liberated' from one of their stores, without payment, hypothetically, obviously, would this be a triple dip?

Awesome, great job!
Aha, I wonder if that would be considered a dip. I suppose so. So you've gotten three jackets for free? That's a good plunder.

If the Item was SEd "three times", then yes, It's classed as a triple-dip.
That aside, congrats on the successful outcome.

That depends on your skillset and what you define as hard. Personally it was on an intermediate level for me. All it took was a small distraction, some flirting, sleight of hand and a strong 15k Gauss magnet.

Filament from this particular SE endeavour I have a total of 3 yes (assuming everything goes well and j get the DNA replacement, as I only got the email last night saying they'll send me it). I have more arcteryx in my collection though, from other adventures..
