Amazon saying they won't refund me #1
Hi I ordered a phone from Amazon and said I got a book instead. I returned the book (same weight as phone) and they opened an investigation and after they said they won't issue a refund without giving me any reason over live chat. Any thoughts on what I should do from here? I did refund them once but that was back in April and I've had lots of orders since then

Did you get any sort of warning from them prior regarding returns in general?

No I didn't - I know sometimes they eventually say they're going to stop refundiing you regardless of situation but I never got that email

Have you tried calling and speaking to a supervisor? Try to get the reason out of them.

I'm going to try that tomorrow. Is it possible that they are suspecting me because of my previous order

I don't think so. Did you change your story up at all?

Nope I've stuck with the same story throughout. Initially they said once they receive the item they'll refund right away, when they actually received it they changed up their stance. I made sure the book was the same weight, was there anything else I could've been off with?

Do you have copies of the chat? Something similar has happened to me in the past. The people I chatted with misunderstood something I said and it looked like I was telling 2 different stories so I understood what went wrong.

Did you buy the items from separate accounts?

As said above.
If you bought this book from another Amazon account then they likely connected the dots, and frankly you're lucky they haven't deactivated you.
If you returned a book that they don't stock, then again, this is an issue.

Regardless, Phones are of some of the riskiest SE's in general, not just from Amazon. They likely scanned its IMEI number when they sent it out, so even if you did get away with it, the phone would likely be useless when blacklisted.
