"Hello,
We’re sorry to hear that you haven’t received your item(s) for order #206-7480062-8661933.
We have fully investigated this matter, including with the delivery carrier who delivered the package. Based on the outcome of our investigations, we believe the package was delivered to the correct address. In particular we have considered information from our records, as follows which indicate the item as delivered:
- the timed geocode stamp of the delivery location;
- information collected at the point of delivery; and
- the package weight and reported condition upon delivery.
Accordingly, based on our investigations, we won’t be able to provide a replacement or refund for this order at this time.
If you think that someone has intercepted your item without your permission, this is a crime, and you may wish to contact your local police authorities to pursue this matter further. To assist, we recommend that you provide a copy of this email to the police to help explain what has happened. We will happily cooperate with the police as part of any investigation.
If the issue isn't resolved after contacting local police, please contact us again and include a copy of the police report, crime reference number and details of the station where the incident was reported. Please note: to assist in obtaining a police report, we recommend that you provide a copy of this email to the police to help explain what has happened. We will then validate the report with the local police force in question; for that reason, we are unable to accept reports filed with Action Fraud, as this is a reporting centre, rather than a local police force.
Please forward a PDF, JPG or PNG copy of the police report to the following address: uk-deliveryinvestigation@Amazon.co.uk. Please be sure to include key information including:
- Name/Rank of the officer
- Name of police station
- Phone Number of police station
- Crime Reference Number
As the outcome of our detailed investigation suggests that the item was delivered, unfortunately without any such police report reporting the crime of theft or interception of the item, we are unable to take further action."
I thought the weight of the airpods is low enough to give customers the benefit of the doubt.
What should I do next?
I've been told you can call up and them that you went to the station and the police are not going to step into such a petty case...
that seems risky sir. how likely is it to work
This is a risky business if you don't want to do it just send it back

risk to reward ratio does not favour me, hence the question, how likely is it to work?

It may not lead to anything other than moving forward with your claim, however If they wanted to pursue the matter further, the affidavit can be used as evidence In court.
They had this to say.

As said,
delivery Is not the same as
personally receiving It. They can have all the records on hand that It was delivered, but If "you didn't receive It", It Indicates otherwise.
I'm not looking through every post, so did you sign for the package?

I have arranged a return and hermes will be coming to pick up the package. You think it would be worth trying to box them.

Given the AirPods are extremely light and compact, boxing Is almost guaranteed to work.
Unless you do It from a different account, wait a little while. It'll appear very suspicious If It's done Immediately.
