Airpods Amazon affidavit - moneymaker6660 - 06-28-2019 Hey guys, I have tried to SE some airpods from Amazon using empty box method. They said they're gonna send me an affidavit as well as carry out a 3-day investigation. What do you think about this? RE: Airpods Amazon affidavit - TalkingPhone - 06-28-2019 Once it goes to an investigation is going to be quite difficult to SE them to my knowledge (i might be wrong) but good luck! It may still work though but I'm not going to be much help. RE: Airpods Amazon affidavit - tedownyiskinm - 06-28-2019 I think your outcome so far is to be expected given the Amazon listing shows "What you need to know – This product has a serial number that uniquely identifies the item. Should your order go missing before it arrives, Amazon may register the serial number with loss and theft databases to prevent fraudulent use or resale of the item." It doesn't limit that much RE: Airpods Amazon affidavit - tedownyiskinm - 06-28-2019 It doesn't limit anything unless the OP plans to sell and someone decided to randomly check a database. Just pointing out that the outcome so far is probably to be expected giving the notice on the listing. Something as small as airpods/case would not show a significant weight difference when they cross check with the courier. they are under 80 grams or so. I shall update in 3 days, if it doesn't work I will tell them someone hid the pods and it was a big misunderstanding. (: RE: Airpods Amazon affidavit - zorrophreak - 06-29-2019 More than likely you're going to be alright. Keep us updated, but more than likely it will be a fruitless investigation and you will receive your refund/replacement set and while they might be registered for loss prevention, they're airpods and to my knowledge Apple doesn't do iCloud Locks for Air pods lol. RE: Airpods Amazon affidavit - mothered - 06-29-2019 An affidavit Is admissible In court. I strongly suggest not to sign It.
