Hey, so i ordered some earphones of amazon, when they arrived about a day after that I called up amazon saying that it arrived but with empty box. Now they went onto doing an investigation(carrier) and are saying I need
a police report? What do you think my next step should be ? (I have done this few times before on my main account long time ago)

Once you've been asked for a police report, you either make a police report or you very hastily backpedal and say a family member hid them as a joke and you want to return them normally.

They may well be cracking down on claims by opening Investigations, That amount Is usually very easily SEd.
