Hey, so i ordered some earphones of amazon, when they arrived about a day after that I called up amazon saying that it arrived but with empty box. Now they went onto doing an investigation(carrier) and are saying I need
a police report? What do you think my next step should be ? (I have done this few times before on my main account long time ago)
earphones were around 140 gbp

Once you've been asked for a police report, you either make a police report or you very hastily backpedal and say a family member hid them as a joke and you want to return them normally.

thats what i was thinking, i was very confident going into this as its only a pear of earphones and looks like they changed up since i used to do this

An Investigation Is predominantly opened for high value Items. It's not worth their time and paperwork for Items of low value.
What's the cost of the earphones?

I see, I overlooked It In your Initial post.
They may well be cracking down on claims by opening Investigations, That amount Is usually very easily SEd.
