Provided the jiffy bag Is large enough to accommodate the phone and at least half of It's volume Is unused, there's a very high chance the method will work.

Only thing is - I have never boxed before, how do businesses usually react? Will they contact you saying its missing and that they need to send you a new one or do I need to reach out to them asking on an update? I know it will vary from business to business but just wondering if you have any tips

It's not possible to be conclusive on the actions taken.

They may well Issue a refund/replacement there and then (I've experienced this a few times), or they may open an Investigation (check with the carrier, consignment details etc)- which by no means Is a failed SE. The majority of Investigations have a successful outcome.

Still useful information regardless. Appreciate the help. Will keep you posted

im in the process of doing this myself at moment ive had to esclate this higher up as its not like the other se on mobile phones you send to repair centre which is a 3rd party company unlike others you send it direct to the retailer also some info you will need to keep the proof of posting receipt that shows the weight of item so make sure its the same weight as the phone

Good to know, my jiffy should be arriving today or tomorrow and I think I have an idea of how to get them to budge. It is weird how they use a 3rd party though. Pretty dangerous in my opinion

I am also very interested in doing this. Going to give it a shot. May I ask does Huawei have a way to check Amazon Receipts?
Or Curry Receipts.

It's been almost a week since this post.

Just to touch base with you, any new developments?

Actually in contact with Huawei now as my Jiffy never arrived... Might be handy in getting it to succeed as I can say they were unreliable with postage the first time

This Is great.

Tell them you'll send It via registered post and provide the tracking number. Of course, you'll do nothing of the sort. I know for a fact, that a lot of post offices hand out registered tracking stickers free of charge. You don't pay for the "stickers", but do so at the time of "sending" the Item (against the sticker). See If this applies In your locality.

Essentially, you'll provide a valid tracking number, but without a consignment.
