I am thinking about telling them that the computers battery was leaking when I recieved it, I cleaned it up, but the pc wouldn't start. But it sounds kinda unlikely and very extreme, and furthermore what is the most likely respond to such a call? I assume that they are going to demand that I send the defect computer back, before they are willing to send a replacement.

- Any ideas or thoughts? I am struggeling to come up with a solid excuse.

Use leaked battery as excuse because they're unlikely to ask for it back, but might ask for pictures. If they do ask for it back say you tried and post office declined because it was leaking still.

If they ask for a photo be creative.
