You know when it rains and all the worms come out and make the sidewalks gross? We’re a big fan of those days, because as humans, it makes us feel really powerful to see another species so vulnerable and nasty-looking and useless. Sometimes we’d even give the whole office an extra little break in the middle of the day to go down on the street and laugh at the weak little worms...but we don’t do that anymore.
It started with what can only be described as a teeny tiny hand grenade clinking up onto the windowsill from far below, but within minutes, our entire marketing department looked like someone had taken a giant ice cream scoop out of it. We had to throw out everything in the kitchen because it had been contaminated by hundreds of tiny little sheep.
Chrono HQ was conquered by an army of worms that day in 1995, and later that year, we were able to sell our story to Team17, who’s been making hit games based off those real life events ever since. To commemorate the great working relationship we’ve had over the past 10 years, please enjoy Worms Clan Wars, which is on sale today for an outrageously low price. We hear you can make online clans in this one. That’ll be a giggle.
