I can email them multiple times a day and they still respond.

This is for Germany btw.

What I did to a German shop was showed them the Law and told I will involve European Consumer Protection

Maybe they will answer then

I know germany it says they have to proof it was delivered directly to you, if they cant = file PR get money back

Dude they definitely caught on I wonder how many orders they're actually getting? I've seen more failures than successes.

I can help but feel like I did something wrong but I'm seeing other people fuck up now too

Back and forth emails with them are really retarded sometimes

What was the value of your watch roughly? Maybe we're going to high

"As mentioned, after successful delivery by DHL the transfer of risk is complete, which is why it is up to you to take action."

???

Tell them that's not true.
You got an empty box

Your contract is between you and the company as well You're not supposed to fucking chase up the courier

Mine was a little short of £1K so don’t think it’s the value per se. Probably just too many similar MEB cases in a row so they’ve tightened their procedures.

Dang

I wonder how many normal orders they get and then how many claims they got recently

Have you hit any other watch companies?

After a while they again, replied with:

We were in contact with DHL in the meantime. There the handover to your hands was documented and also acknowledged with a signature from the recipient - i.e. you. Therefore, the order has been properly handed over and has become your responsibility.

They told me the same thing right at the beginning.

But you're not disputing the delivery, you're claiming the watch box was empty. Ask them why they keep reiterating a moot point

So the SE ended up falling?
Did u ask for an escalation of the case? Did u tried to ask proof of the presence of the watch on the box (tell them it could be an assembly mistake).
The best option to not pass the 30 days return barrier probably is to box them, if they ended up noticing it, told them that u made a mistake and forgot to put the watch inside and will pay the shipping of the return.

I emailed them back saying I want to escalate my case and additionally asked for CCTV proof.

They 30 day mark will pass in about a week.

How do I go about boxing them?

If you're boxing them with dry ice you want to tape up your box cut the tape slash through it
Put in your dry ice then retape it with a different tape

And then ship it back this makes it look like it got stolen essentially

If you're only keeping the Watch and the watch is light enough then still do the tape thing but leave the box in I guess
