Hi, have a pixel 7 to arrive soon. Will it be safe to claim DNA? Can they see anything afterward about the phone if it's activated? Etc. Thanks!

I always recommend waiting a month minimum for devices with any cellular connection, as these can be tracked remotely even after you have received your refund.
As for DNA, you should be good to go. There's also MEB (Manufacturer empty box) and ftid.

There isn't an official timeframe but from what I've seen, companies do tend to stop searching for activity usage after a month of no activity. I've done a refund myself and was foolish enough to use it straight away. 2 weeks later it got remotely locked.
WiFi also is a no-go. Some say its fine but it isn't worth the risk. Just wait several weeks.
Ipads, laptops etc with WiFi only are fine to use straight away.
You're welcome.
