SE from Google store? - thejog - 05-10-2023 Hi, have a pixel 7 to arrive soon. Will it be safe to claim DNA? Can they see anything afterward about the phone if it's activated? Etc. Thanks! RE: SE from Google store? - Oni - 05-11-2023 Moved to Social Engineering. RE: SE from Google store? - Roadman - 05-11-2023 I always recommend waiting a month minimum for devices with any cellular connection, as these can be tracked remotely even after you have received your refund. As for DNA, you should be good to go. There's also MEB (Manufacturer empty box) and ftid. RE: SE from Google store? - Fagottino89 - 05-11-2023 Does EB work with google? Just to confirm, are you saying that after ~1month, they'll stop 'actively' searching for the device and I'm free to connect a SIM to it on my Fi acount? Also, is a wi-fi connection a no-go? I assume so, but just making sure! Thanks for the help. RE: SE from Google store? - Roadman - 05-11-2023 There isn't an official timeframe but from what I've seen, companies do tend to stop searching for activity usage after a month of no activity. I've done a refund myself and was foolish enough to use it straight away. 2 weeks later it got remotely locked. WiFi also is a no-go. Some say its fine but it isn't worth the risk. Just wait several weeks. Ipads, laptops etc with WiFi only are fine to use straight away. You're welcome. |
