Hey guys.

So i did one succesfull missing item and went to another local store (online) and tried to do them - its an apple watch series 7, and they're asking for the imei number on the packaging, but i already sold the watch. What advice do you have? Should i take the loss? (i didnt give the buyer the reciept) or should i say ''hey man, mabye i can get the reciept for you if you send me the imei number'' and then send it to the store?

What can they do with the imei number or could i give them a fake one? Its a GPS only

Haven't you got a receipt from the store where you bought the watch initially?

I would look up the original receipt first, maybe it's on there (usually).

You should've waited for the claim to finalize before selling the watch.

They'll use It for authentication purposes, so a fake one will obviously not suffice.
