Can confirm a BRT driver also called me for a month offering to repay me out of his own pocket if I canceled the DNA claim (of course I didn't), so I'm guessing some of them DO risk something?

So i understand maybe in the US the driver isnt responsible. Im from europe and ups is not as big the drivers dont even get a van, they have to buy their own van and then they can get a job with ups. So i believe him when he says he has to pay. I dont care about the crime but only if a big company is paying for the loss. I think im going to say he gave to one of my neighbors who forgot about it or someth.
Also i got a text that same day in the evening saying i got a refund with the exact amount and a phishing link to get access to my accounts. Im still wondering if this was of him or some UPS insider? Very weird For jokes i filled in "Ups Guy?" where youre supposed to put your account number.

I believe the driver did this, it's happened to me, not UPS though
