Warranty for SE'd item? #1
Basically some earbuds I se'd from Amazon and they ended up breaking on me. Sad I was thinking I could email the manufacturer for a replacement and see if they'll give me it because it still shows up as an order on Amazon. If it helps, I opted to get a full refund when I did the se. Has anyone done this before?

Purchase a new pair from Amazon (or the manufacturer), claim they're faulty and return your defective earbuds for a refund.

The only Issue Is If there's a serial number on the earbuds, and "If" they cross-check It against the Invoiced Item, they'll Identify that the original wasn't returned.

Keep in mind this was 10 years ago but I used to just go to the order placed or return invoice on amazon, google chrome page inspect and edit a few things, print page and save the invoices the way I wanted. No one did any further investigation, in some cases I didn’t even buy anything and would just create bootleg amazon invoices uses chrome editing to claim Samsung pay deals and credits .

You could always edit one and send it to the manufacturer if they ask, I mean it’s not like you SEd it, you bought it off someone selling it and you don’t know how they got it but you don’t need to explain that unless they ask.

Everyone on this forum is an upstanding citizen who keeps falling victim to the sins of the people we bought the products off of, remember, you’ve done nothing wrong and need to proceed with that mentality.

I was thinking of making some excuse a long the lines of that I'm on vacation/trip and I can't ship it since I'm far away from home. Or I might just ask them to send a replacement for the earbud cable as these type of earbuds have replaceable cables.

Alright I thought I could getaway with just putting this image without the order number cropped out, and the "refund" part edited out BUT they just keep insisting  that they need it. Should I just go for it and send them the order number? [Image: wpOMxUT.png]

An order number Is required to process the claim.

There's every chance that they'll cross-check It and Identify It's been previously refunded by Amazon.

Further to your post below, what method did you use to obtain the refund?

Well, you're obviously not supposed to have the Item In your possession.

If you send the manufacturer the real/original order number and they decide to check It against Amazon's records, It will show up as a refunded Item not received by the buyer. I'm not saying they "will" cross-check It, but rather the possibility that they may.

Alright so I decided to send the order number because they absolutely needed it and looks like they found out
Quote:Dear Customer,

Thanks for your email and your patience.
We notice the full refund has been issued, the refund will be back to the source payment account of the order, please allow some time for them to process the refund.
Your patience is so much appreciated.
I'm going to say something about how I've been waiting weeks for Amazon to send me the refund and I have tried to contact them and they just won't give me it. I'll also try to go through a live support rep after this and see if they are less stubborn

That's precisely what I was referring to by this:
