PS3 HDD - Tutti Frutti - 01-08-2016 Does anyone know if i can place my PS3 Slim Hard Drive to my PS3 Super Slim? Will it work or no. Let me know please. RE: PS3 HDD - Cyber - 01-08-2016 Quote:All PS3's do use the same size and type of hard drive. You will need a USB external hard drive to backup all of the data from your 250GB hard drive before you remove it from the PS3 Slim. You can then simply move the hard disk drive, to the hard drive bay of the super slim. The super slim will format that hard drive, and then install the System software from a USB storage device. You will then have to restore the backup that you made to the 250GB hard disk again. That is the only way to do it. Even if the flash storage in the super slim was large enough to hold all of your data, which it isn't; the PS3 can only have one internal storage device active at a time. Once you install the 250GB hard disk drive, the 12GB of internal storage is no longer accessible.http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-3-Support/Can-I-move-my-slim-HDD-to-a-super-slim-one/td-p/41477277 RE: PS3 HDD - AFK - 01-08-2016 Yes. All you'll have to do is backup everything from your Slim HDD and transfer it onto your Super Slim HDD once you properly install it onto your console. |
