RE: wget question - bluedog.tar.gz - 05-15-2014 Use apt-get remove --purge <package> Then use apt-get clean RE: wget question - The Real Slim Shady - 05-15-2014 (05-15-2014, 02:36 PM)bluedog.tar.gz Wrote: Use apt-get remove --purge <package> This would only work if he installed using the package manager, which I get the impression he did not as he said he did not use apt. As for the OP - if you still have the source files, you may be able to run `make uninstall` - otherwise merely deleting the install directory/location should do it? But we'll see. Without knowing what he downloaded or how he installed it, we're just making assumptions :p RE: wget question - chmod - 05-15-2014 As everyone above has already said it would depend on what exactly you downloaded. If you downloaded a .deb package then dpkg would be the way to go but if you compiled it from source then Geoff's suggestions will do the trick. RE: wget question - Rajjan Haxor - 05-15-2014 thank all for your help but what i did i downloaded mirc as an example and now i want to remove it when i use locate mirc i get the following directories Code: /home/Rajjan/.wine/drive_c/users/Rajjan/Application Data/mIRC/mirc.ini

On a separate note the thread title is missleading and your question has nothing to do with wget. RE: uninstalling a wine application - Rajjan Haxor - 05-15-2014 well i can't seem to find uninstall program utility through application>>wine>>prgrams can you be a little more specific )) |
