What triggers "Your Amazon account is temporarily on hold" - Kreshmar - 04-06-2024 More and more often these days this email seems to make its way into my inbox: Hello, We have detected unusual payment activity on your Amazon account. For your protection, we have temporarily placed your account on hold and any pending orders or subscriptions on hold as well. If we are unable to confirm your payment information within 72 hours, your pending orders will be canceled. Your account will remain on hold until we are able to confirm that you are the authorized owner of the payment method used in the recent transaction.. To restore access to your account, sign in and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you have provided the required information, we will review it and respond within 24 hours. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Sincerely, Account Specialist It appears to occur if a payment method or address, which has previous been associated with a couple of SEs, is used again. However, sometimes I cannot track down the exact reason why the account may be flagged. Can someone shed some insight? The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood. RE: What triggers "Your Amazon account is temporarily on hold" - Juju1999 - 04-17-2024 I dont know why you get it to often. But I never seem to encounter this problem unless I drop a 400-500$ item on a newly created amazon account. I always use 1 account per 1 phone and do 5-6 transaction per week for 3 weeks. $ can vary. I just buy rubberbands and shit to bundle my cash. after 3 weeks I would hit big and usually always works putting down the order. refund part is another story.
