COSTCO HELP URGENT - thechosenone - 12-29-2023

Hey guys so i ordered a $1200 macbook from Costco canada. I was just gonna use it regularly and not SE it as I have heard costco was difficult and apple products even harder. To my surprise when I came home, the MacBook was just on my front step no photo and no signature. Perfect for DNA. Would you guys suggest I go through with this? I have also heard talks about rebills though I'm not sure what that means. If the Se is successful how can they charge you again? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Not sure about your country, but if they did that in my country, that would not be classed as a successful delivery so DNA is very plausible and you should technically have a 100% chance of success. Unless you told them to leave it unattended on the doorstep, go for it.

I wouldn't risk Costco honestly.

Do you know if Costco is responsible for stolen shipments? A lot of companies now a days aren't covering DNA at all anymore.
No sig and no photo is good, but not sure.

Worst case you can keep/return to costco. Sounds like you were gonna keep it anyway, so why not try? Worst that can happen is they deny youir claim.

upon checking now there is a photo but it is extremely blurry. You can't see anything at all.

No signature is not a guaranteed refund for some companies. They go by gps/proof of delivery (photo etc). They can't just refund right away when customer claims this with the rise of these kind of "issues".

You can try your luck if they stated signature required on order confirmation/tracking. What courier did they use?

Good that they have proof that they didn't successfully deliver the package xD

if you live in Canada, the law is clear: companies are responsible for delivering packages until you receive them in person

also, companies in Canada are not allowed to rebill credit cards, as this is a prohibited practice.

Doesn't really matter what the law is. I DNA'd Abercrombie and they refused me completely.
Contacted them, denied. Paypal claim denied. Amex charge back denied. Currently doing an insurance claim.

the law doesn't say they have to reimburse you, just that they're responsible for the package
ultimately, if the parcel shows as delivered and they can't prove it, you'll win in court

in your case, the fact that the bank ruled in favor of the seller for DNA is extremely odd, especially since Abercrombie is one of the easiest companies to DNA, unless they had concrete evidence / a strong DNA history

Did they get a photo or signature?
