Return Initiated for a bit over 200 from crocs, called them two days after and had it sorted in around 10 minutes. Still seems to work if you needed confirmation.

So you DNA'ed them or you initiated a return and they issued a refund once it was scanned? A bit confused here

It was a straight DNA, I called them two days after they supposedly delivered it and it was resolved in 10 minutes or so.

What did you say?
I’m surprised they didn’t ask why it took you 2 days to call

The time you take to call does not have as significant impact on the SE in most cases, as long as its within the timeline they bear responsibility, usually 3, 7, or 14 days. I've done a SE where I called after 3 months.

I'm not saying it does, but just in general. If you had a package that was delivered Tuesday morning, wouldn't you contact the company when you cant find it Tuesday afternoon?
3 days pass and thats when you contact customer service? Just seems strange

Because their default response is to say "Wait two days to see if it appears, contact neighbors and look around ect. No point in wasting time calling for an answer ik they'll respond with.
