RTX4090 sn - ponasG - 10-28-2022

I heard the news about rtx4090 having a major problem with the power cables so i decided to use it as a excuse to why i disposed my card. I know nothing about gpus so my question is: Do i have to contact nvidia themselves or who to process with the refund?

Up to you, where did u buy it? Usually should be the place of purchases first

Assuming It's not NVIDIA, the place of purchase.

Unless It's Newegg, most are usually easier to deal with than the manufacturer.

How can i proof my purchase to a retailer? Do i have to state that i bought an item irl and just make a fake check?

It's very likely the POP will be cross-checked.

You can either say you've received the Item as a gift, or use the corrupted file method.

you might also just buy legitly, take a photo of the proof of purchase, use it to make refund and in the mean time return it to the store
