bans list - Defeat - 08-29-2022
I noticed it was public. I'm not suggesting you need to be an upgraded member to view it, but at least a registered member?
If someone's banned and they want to know why, when they return here they'll see the reason so it's not really necessary for it to be viewable outside of a registration here.

Forgive me, I don't really understand what's wrong with this information being public? Many members will enquire about bans over the years, and we'd prefer to be transparent about this sort of thing. The ban list isn't solely for staff or the banned member themselves.

It is weird guests would want to read that. However, equally, what harm is there? These are banned members, not premium content, so I can't see any reason to change it.

What's would the intent be for hiding the ban list? There's no benefit to be gained from gatekeeping that information.

I understand your responses. My line of thinking was this: when a guest is on the site, they cannot access any registered accounts. It'll ask them to login. If they can't do that, it doesn't make sense to let them access our ban logs. Either way I agree, it doesn't harm anyone. Accessing an individual's user page also doesn't harm anyone but that's where the idea came from.
