Selfridges SE - bunny222 - 01-30-2022 Was browsing Selfridges for a fragrance and I saw the new YSL Black Opium flanker. It’s advertised as 50ml in the title and the description, but you can only purchase 30ml or 75ml. I was wondering if I could be able to get away with claiming ‘false advertising’ and being able to get a refund? It seems like a good idea but obviously they may want me to return the item for a refund. Or just flat out refuse my claim. Any opinions would be great! Thanks Here is the fragrance for reference: The perfume RE: Selfridges SE - mothered - 01-31-2022 Quote:It’s advertised as 50ml in the title and the description, but you can only purchase 30ml or 75ml. In terms of purchasing the product, the only way I could see It working In your favor, Is If you've ordered a 75ml bottle and they shipped the advertised size of 50ml - which Is less to what you've selected. Though, It's unlikely to take place. The only downside to this, is that it does say 30ml on the drop down menu, but 50ml in the title and description as I mentioned.Quote:It’s advertised as 50ml in the title and the description, but you can only purchase 30ml or 75ml. I read their terms and it refers to the statutory rights in the UK. And that states that ‘everything must be as described, fit for use and up to satisfactory quality’. If the product doesn’t meet any one of these, then you’re entitled to a full refund. I think I will give it a go, worst case scenario they’ll refuse my claim and I’ll have to return it, which won’t seem too suspicious. Essentially, you've selected & received what you've paid for- by description and price. (01-31-2022, 04:57 PM)bunny222 Wrote: I read their terms and it refers to the statutory rights in the UK. RE: Selfridges SE - bunny222 - 02-03-2022 Unfortunately they said I will have to return it for a refund if I’m unhappy. I will try and get a refund/replacement without having to return anything but I’m not too sure if it will work. It was worth a try haha RE: Selfridges SE - mothered - 02-04-2022 (02-03-2022, 10:14 PM)bunny222 Wrote: Unfortunately they said I will have to return it for a refund if I’m unhappy.
