Changing the name at our door phone - Green314 - 07-17-2020 I was thinking about a thing this morning. We can receive package to ours addresses with a fake receiving name. Since:
In this way I could:
What do you think? RE: Changing the name at our door phone - Fastera - 07-18-2020 It is possible of course, though you would likely want to use different payment method and name for those accounts so they are not linked to you in the future. Assuming you can make a small change to your address and still receive the parcel then you would be even better off. This is true from the point of view of the company. Forgive me, but it's not true from the courier point of view. If the courier:
It's 100% sure that it's your words against the courier. And of course the company will be in your favour. But you can't say that these behaviours could have done by a passant or somebody else and not the owner if the courier in second place will ever come back to your house later (under request of the company). It's not good practice to predict a series of events, without having solid grounds to base your thoughts. It's clearly demonstrated as such, with the title of: "What 'If' the courier". "If" Is a supposition that speaks for Itself and supports my statement. "Preparing" your SE Is one thing, "predicting" unlikely events (as a whole), Is something else- which as said Is not good practice. It's not about being pessimist. What I have just describes happens something to me. Some other times I just open the door and keep the package without confirming my ID, sometimes I just don't open the door and get the package once the courier has left and can't seem me. Do you think I am using the wrong approach with the courier? Btw: I always consider the possible outcome (realism) and not the worst cases (pessimism). But completing a scenario (with so many events), may never happen In the exact same sequence. Every, and I mean "every" SE must be taken one step at a time. When Issues come to hand, deal with It then rather than dealing with It (to no avail) before the SE has the chance to begin. In the best case: the company won't be bothered by this and they will issue a refund. In the worst case: they will say: "We will send the same courier who did the delivery back to you to understand what wend bad." //assuming that the courier may remember you and remember your home since in small cities couriers are divided by zones and each courier cover a zone. So holidays excepted, 365 days for the year the courier of that specific company will be the same, thus the probability that they remember you increase.// In the worst-case what a good SE would do? |
