Statutory Declaration - Dusted - 01-31-2020 Hi I was being asked to file a police statutory declaration. Whjat should I do RE: Statutory Declaration - mothered - 01-31-2020 Quote:asked to file a police statutory declaration A statutory declaration Is signed In the presence of an authorized witness. Have you been requested to attend the police station, whereby the officer will be the witness to the signed statement? A statutory declaration Is not a sworn statement, nor Is It made under oath (as with affidavits). It's used to say that everything Is true and correct "to the best of your knowledge". It's fine to go ahead a sign It. It's not an affidavit, so It's perfectly fine to sign It. They do need It to move forward with your claim. I checked the law though and it says its a punishable for prison time if you are caught lying? They claim they have gps tracking, aree they allowed to lie about that RE: Statutory Declaration - Jerban - 02-05-2020 (02-04-2020, 05:39 PM)Zadnik Wrote:(02-02-2020, 02:10 AM)mothered Wrote:(02-01-2020, 01:40 PM)Zadnik Wrote: Can I not try and get around it by saying I cannot find anyone to sign it? GPS tracking doesnt proof you were delivered anything, they need picture or signature. You can serve prison time for a crime you've committed, without signing a stat dec. Quote:if you are caught lying?^ This Is the loophole. A statutory declaration, affirms that what you're saying Is true to the best of your knowledge. Simply put, as far as you're concerned, the events of the SE did happen as stated- you're not lying, but rather providing a statement that you believe Is true and correct. |
