Pacsun Police Report Help - Rokuonji - 01-08-2019 First off, hello this is my first post/thread. I'm hoping some old souls out here could help me with my predicament. Alright, long story short, did a $499 order with Pacsun (all clothing items; went a little over my head) and I've called three times for a refund (Package was left on the porch btw). First time they told me to get a police report, second time I told them that my city doesn't take police reports for theft (they don't, but only for mailbox theft, so I lied), they asked for the website I used to report and I sent it to them (fyi the website states that I need to contact my post office when you check the box for package theft). Weekend passes and I called today and they ended up telling me to get a police report or some type of written explanation from the police saying that they do not take police reports or I can't receive a refund. I have a few options then: 1. Return all the items (could be tricky cause I took off the tags, would need to talk to the people at the store to check the eligibility of it) 2. Do a real police report (not really favorable cause I'm not sure of the repercussions). 3. Fake a police report (yeah, definitely would not want to do this). 4. Get a fake written explanation (the rep told me that they needed this to use it against the police? Idk) 5. Tell the rep that I couldn't get any type of explanation. (The rep told me that if this happens then they'll take it to the head of HQ, lowkey seems like a scare tactic, but idk) If anything, I'm leaning towards doing an actual police report, but I'm unsure what could actually happen. Got myself in a bit of a pickle, if anyone could suggest the best course of action that would be great ty. RE: Pacsun Police Report Help - mothered - 01-08-2019 Do not falsify a police report or written documentation- you may well be charged for doing so. A police report Is nothing more than company protocol, for their office administration to move forward with your claim. In fact, the majority do have a successful outcome. Comply with their request and wait for a response. RE: Pacsun Police Report Help - Nutany - 01-08-2019 Just file the police report, they get those things daily. I've seen you replying to a lot of SE related posts and I just wanted to say thanks for the response. You're a really helpful dude when it comes to refunds/SE. As for my situation, I think I may honestly go through with doing the police report. (01-08-2019, 01:28 PM)Lucas1543 Wrote: Just file the police report, they get those things daily. If you haven't been charged with fraud or anything severe they won't do anything, they probably won't even look at it. You're very welcome. Do just that with the police report. (01-08-2019, 06:27 PM)Rokuonji Wrote: You guys make it not seem like a big deal That's because It Isn't. It's similar to being Involved In a motor vehicle accident. Those that require a police report, Is simply to keep a record of the Incident and move forward with the Insurance claim. The same applies to (In this case) SEing- move forward with your claim. |
