Returning Old Xbox One for New Xbox One X In-store? - RepOseSS3d-KillR - 12-01-2018 Good morning sinisters, today I present to you a discussion about returns. Yesterday I attempted to do the old instore swap return method on just a controller, aka old hobo. I achieved this by bringing my old broken controller, and then drove to Target to buy a brand new controller. I bought the brand new Phantom black Xbox one controller with cash, went into my car, and opened the box very carefully and replaced the brand new controller inside with my old white broken controller, and also took the 14-day xbox live trial and AA batteries because why not. I then went inside and went to customer service to get a cash refund. I handed my item to the young worker, about 20, and told her I got it as a gift for my brother but he wanted a better controller. She asked me if it was opened up or not, and considering I was able to be very careful with the box I said it was never even opened. She went ahead and gave me a full refund. Now, yeah this is an old school method. I’m sure you can do this with a lot of items at a lot of places, like Target, Walmart, and Best Buy if you say the right things. Now that I’ve got the freely exchanged controller, and have purchased Call of Duty BO4 and Red Dead Redemption 2 both at full price, I come to find out that my Orginal Xbox One is not even capable of running these games at 15 FPS. The textures look awful and I want to cry at how bad the frame rate actually is. I did research and compared the OG Xbox One vs Xbox One S vs Xbox One X. They are all very different in terms of game performance. The Xbox One X is essentially 2-3x faster than just the Xbox One S, which is just a model down from the Xbox One X. I own the OG Xbox One and bought it brand new back in 2016 for $400, and is now considered to be 10-15x times slower than the Xbox One X in terms of game processing power. Either I have made you too bored to make it this far, or you like the information that i’ve provided. My main discussion would like to be if I could potentially buy a brand new Xbox One X and replace it with my old Xbox One and refund it? How do you guys feel about this? Any tips or perspective you guys would like to share? RE: Returning Old Xbox One for New Xbox One X In-store? - Riyadul123 - 12-01-2018 I reckon you’ll be better off pulling this off online, is your item in good new condition? It is the old, shiny Xbox One model. The only problem with it is the cosmetic scratching on the shiny surface all over the top of the xbox. They are not deep cuts but is similar to scratching on credit cards. RE: Returning Old Xbox One for New Xbox One X In-store? - RepOseSS3d-KillR - 12-01-2018 Other than the scratches, I can clean it up real good. However, I did notice that the old Xbox One is much larger than the Xbox One X. Will that create any obstacles? RE: Returning Old Xbox One for New Xbox One X In-store? - popeye74uk - 12-01-2018 I agree with Riyadul123 this would be easier online, especially if you have all original packaging you can just argue they have tried to rip you off with some old Xbox one and not the one you purchased. RE: Returning Old Xbox One for New Xbox One X In-store? - Riyadul123 - 12-01-2018 Amazon seems best bet here, possibly Argos UK. RE: Returning Old Xbox One for New Xbox One X In-store? - popeye74uk - 12-01-2018 I would personally give Zavvi a go for uk, Amazon and Argos are always great choices RE: Returning Old Xbox One for New Xbox One X In-store? - Riyadul123 - 12-01-2018 Never heard of Zavvi, do you mind expanding ?
