Something doesnt quite feel right with these... - Skullmeat - 10-02-2018

I've tried various combinations with this idea I had for a wallpaper, and no matter what I do, something feels off about them. What do you guys think? Am I just being too critical of myself?

The colours in the background seem far too bright, try adding a texture aswell.

I'm not too keen on the second Image (seems somewhat blurred when viewing on my full HD), but the first looks fine to me.

Looks okay, the style of the second one is cooler than the first.

blurred? how big is your display? these are rendered at 1440p. And if you mean the girl, its intentional. I used a shear filter to mimic the effect of a poor quality vhs.

Have you used it for something? If you have its purely coincidence. I went browsing for fonts and found it one day.

I didn't realize you purposely applied It. I would love to see the before-and-after.
