Then ignore How long has it been since you received these emails? Was it emails of the same type as the ones I received? And i hope they havent any right to rebill if the card is unlinked but im really not sur of that... Okay, that's what I thought. Do you think I should do nothing more and hope they don't charge me again? Or that I should try to reach them again to cover myself? But to be safe you can block the card and order a new one, I am in no ways an expert on this field. In my country even if they sent me debt collectors, I would tell them to fuck off and that's all.(10-04-2022, 07:16 PM)jason_statham Wrote:(10-04-2022, 05:05 PM)Alz007 Wrote: I already removed it but if they really want to rebill me they can do it anyway no ?They did not rebill me, although they sent me emails. Their precise wording? To summarize the situation, I received a first email in which they told me that they knew it was a fake that I had sent back to them even though it's been more than 4 months since I was refunded. They wanted me to send them back the article before June 2, 2022 or they would charge me again (even though it is October). I told them I had no idea what they were talking about and sent the item back. They sent me a second email unrelated to the first one (an automatic email probably) in which they told me that they could not proceed to a refund of my item for the moment (even though I was already refunded more than 4 months ago). I sent them another email where I asked them to explain themselves more clearly because I still didn't understand anything and they sent me back exactly the same automatic email (the one in which they told me that they couldn't proceed for the moment to the refund of my article). So I really don't know if I should call them again to be safe or if I should say nothing... What do you think? Keep in mind they monitor all forums related to such activities.Thousands of claims are assessed each day, and the Internet has a very large social engineering-based community with millions of posts. I agree. But still...you never know where it may hit you. The whole point of SEing is to inspect every angle and every possibility and in the end better safe than sorry

Every scenario, Incident and event Is assessed on a case-by-case basis. In this case, I've simply pointed out the probability/likelihood of a single thread (containing no specifics about the user behind the claim) being pinpointed among millions of posts floating around social engineering communities - which Is next to zero. RE: URGENT - Amazon reply 4 monts later about a return - Exodeen - 10-07-2022 my theory is: this is an item sold by a company and shipped by Amazon (Prime), after you returned the phone was shipped to the seller and they found out it was a fake phone and they did a complaint to Amazon there are 3 vectors here: the seller, the delivery man and you so there is nothing to worry about what I personally advise you to do: call your bank to say that you have lost your credit card, they will send you a new one with a new number, Amazon will not be able to charge you and completely ignore their next messages RE: URGENT - Amazon reply 4 monts later about a return - pugoflife - 10-07-2022 first thing to do as far as im concerned is to get rid of that card number, that way amazon can't charge it straight away, that one and every single fuckin one that you ever used on amazon just to be sure; by the time it gets to paper invoices you might have some better channels of communication to make a point about how it obviously wasn't you, cause at the moment it doesn't sound like you're dealing with any capable process |
