When your sealed box method failed 2-3 times recently, do you simply return the correct items back for refund? Amazon or other company dint question you that you returned perfectly sealed wrong item?

No I kept the items. I needed them anyway so I didn't think much of it, a refund would have just been extra. Returning them would have worked in last resort though.

True. “My old mother/roommate/Pinscher dog have had bad experiences with returns in the past and now always makes sure to send back their packages in perfect shape so that they’re ready for resale as per your terms of service.”
Worst consequence would be an escalation followed by an account flagging. Inconvenient but the stakes/risks are not very high considering they can charge you back.

You were In a rush, hence mistakenly packed the Incorrect Item In the box. As to why It was resealed to perfection, you were concerned that an open/damaged box would void the refund, hence returned It In Its original state.
