Hi,

I did SE 'sealed box' method, I bought expensive 1200$ phone & replaced it with a 100$ phone of Same brand. I Resealed it to perfection, 100% like xerox, then I also resealed Amazon packet to perfection, no inconsistency whatsoever.

driver came to collect the item, when he saw that even Amazon packet is not opened, He asked me, it's not opened? I said yes

after 3 days OFM emails me saying I sent fake item and to get refund, please send correct item, they already discararded the item they received.

how do I approch this? if I send the item back, I am worried, they won't issue me refund  after I send item to them as they indirectly accused me of fraud by saying "I sent fake item".    I replied & acted dumb & said I returned what I received. I did not mention that I returned sealed box and sealed Amazon packet.

There were already two LPND stickers on the box, so I know it was previous returns. Should I say this that item was previously returned as they were LPND stickers, but won't they get suspicious that how am I aware of what this sticker means??

I created new account via new device and new IP, I signed up for prime and used debit carrd, and item was delivered to Amazon locker.

They've stated a refund will be Issued upon receipt of the correct Item, so there's no cause for concern.

Simply say you were In a rush, and mistakenly packed the Incorrect Item In the box. As to why It was resealed to perfection, you were concerned that an open/damaged box would void the refund, hence returned It In Its original state.

They'll have a record of the previous return, which obviously will not be the Item you've claimed to have received.

Oh yeah they'll refund you when you send the right item back.

So sealed box method is dead on amazon? I wonder if its only high ticket electronics, OP should try again at retail.

They sent me email saying decision is final after I appealed it.
Phone support is of no use as they have no access to OFM, account specialist and investigative team, I even spoke to team leader & Manager on phone support.

Can phone support see the number I call from? Because they say, they can't see, and when call drops, they don't call back.

I told phone support that item was factory Sealed & that the box touched many hands, I know this coz of LPND stickers & tiny dents on phone's box, Phone support's team leader got aggressive & told me that she doesn't know how many hands it touched, but Amazon didn't do anything wrong & did thorough investigation & must have spoken with warehouse, I questioned that how investigation was done in few hrs after I appealed the decision.

She said she can only help in way to send message to account specialist & it will take 48hrs for investigation

I am just not comfortable to send original item back, may be it's a trap? What if they decide to not refund and close my account?? And also sending item back is like admitting what they accused me of "I sent fake item" Also, it will block future SE.

I don't know why they are adamant that I sent fake item, they know this item has gone through return FC before., There is absolutely no evidence and no signs of tamper when I Resealed.

Then take the loss. They won't be assisting you, you can already see that. You can keep trying OFM or email Jeff if you want an escalation team looking at it but that could also end up hurting you in the long run. That's part of the game, sometimes you fail.
Oh and that's Amazon phone support for you, they never call back. Why's your calls dropping? Strange.

Gotcha. Yeah Amazon is super weird like that, they'll say they got rid of anything that's "wrong", regardless of the value. They won't ship anything back. I would just request a new label and send it back, @mothered is right in that you can say oh I put the wrong thing in the box, but why do you have a replica? I get it when you say it seems like a set up because there's a lot of questions surrounding that.

I don't know how will I recover this loss as I'll be more worried about SE Amazon again.

I've always been skeptical of Wrong item and Sealed box with Amazon. Even when you think it's gone smoothly, it sometimes backfires.
